This micro course looks at key definitions of Infection prevention and control and the impact of infections. It explains why infection control is so important and how it impacts patients, staff and employees.

The course then goes on to look at the Legislation that covers Infection prevention and best practices. This includes the Health and Safety at Work act, RIDDOR and COSHH.

Lastly it looks at what is an infection. Signs of infection and infections that can be associated with healthcare settings including MRSA, C-Difficile and Norovirus.

This course is aimed at people working in health and social care settings and is a vital part of training for everyone in those environments.

  • You are given the chance to review all your answers at the end of each module before final submission and you will be given 3 attempts at each module to achieve a pass.
